ZF 6HP Mechatronic Valve Body
Klaus Malenke
ZF launched volume production of the 6HP family of
transmissions in 2001 and continues to make nearly one million six-speed
transmissions annually. With many of these transmissions coming out of
the factory warranty period, independent shops should start seeing an
increased number of 6HP transmissions entering their shops for service.
This seminar will cover 6HP transmission identification, markings and
numbering as well as an in-depth look at the 6HP mechatronic valve body.
Common issues and remedies will also be covered.
When Cheap Becomes Expensive
Bob White
Shortcutting your rebuild can cost you much more when it comes
bouncing back at you. Bob will cover tips and tech for the 4F27E, 5R55E,
4L30E valve body, cleaning tips, high performance diesels, and off road
racing rebuilds. Many of the ideas Bob covers will apply to a wide range
of transmissions you work on today.

2ML70 2Mode Hybrid Transmission
Steve Garrett
A 20-year GM engineer and 30-year veteran to the transmission
industry, Steve Garrett is the industry's premier expert on the latest
advancements coming out of Detroit. Steve takes you through an
introduction to the 2ML70 transmission; used in many GM, Dodge and BMW
mid and full size SUV and truck applications. The 2ML70 uses
state-of-the-art technology designed to improve the fuel economy while
significantly lowering the vehicle's emissions. This program will
concentrate on the operation, service and the safety procedures required
for servicing this "next generation" transmission. A heavy emphasis will

injured (or even killed) if not properly trained.
An Unparalleled Look at the Series-Parallel Hybrid
Jack Rosebro
Series-parallel hybrids such as those used by Ford, Nissan,
Toyota, and some GM vehicles incorporate motor/generators into the
transaxle itself. Understanding these types of hybrid transaxles require
an advanced understanding of electric drives. This seminar will present
an overview of the operation of series-parallel transaxles, as well as
diagnosis repair.
